“Special Note Burning” at the 10:45 am Sunday Worship Service
January 6, 2008

And the GOOD NEWS just continues to get more exciting up here in the Adirondacks!!!! Lacking a pastor’s home 2003 saw the beginning of the construction of a brand new church parsonage at 30 Woodward Ave., one mile from the church building at 250 River Street.

Great progress has been made in the past four years for erasing of the parsonage construction debt. On September 18, 2007 a challenge was presented to the church to pay off one of the two loans remaining on the new four year old parsonage. This was accomplished by November 11, 2007, and a note burning was subsequently held at the Harvest Dinner on November 18, 2007. Additional money needed to satisfy the second loan was raised by year end on December 31, 2007. That means that in four years the loans for the new parsonage (now valued at $180,000), and which have totaled $95,000, have been paid in FULL and the Warrensburg Free Methodist Church is now once again DEBT FREE and ready to plan for the next level of expansion that is just waiting in the wings.

Our sincere thanks is extended to every person that has had a part in making this all possible as out reach continues through serving “this present age” . You are invited to be a part of the ministry during this 125th ANNIVERSARY YEAR. (1883-2008)

TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!

Wrapping for Jesus @ Solid ROCK

Each Saturday and Sunday from Thanksgiving through Christmas, individuals at the Solid R.O.C.K. FMC in Claremont, NH participated in the annual "Wraping for Jesus" ministry. Meeting at the local KMart, shoppers had the opportunity to have their purchases gift wrapped totally free of charge. KMart donated all the supplies and the FMC provided the ministry. This was an excellent way to show the love of Christ during the Advent season. Over 200 gifts were wrapped this year as shoppers were also able to enjoy live music from a local group called "Gospel Train" who were allowed to sing Christmas Carols inside the store where the church was wrapping!

Turkeys for Christ!

On November 13th, the church ladies with the aid of the local congregation of the Warrensburg, NY Free Methodist Church, distributed 20 food baskets to local residents. The baskets were complete with turkeys just in time for a 2007 Happy Thanksgiving. The program is under the direction of Minister of Visitation, Caroline Fuller.
